Four Four’s Quarter 2, Empire Music Hall Belfast

Belfast’s quarter annual Hip-Hop showcase Four Fours launched at The Empire Music Hall in January and returns for the second instalment on Friday 24th April.

Hosted by Jun Tzu and Antidote Emcees, the showcases feature resident DJ’s Snuff and Militant Vinylist alongside human beatbox Cull, Manchester rapper Meany and the Four Four’s live band. Each quarter also features a selection of guest artists representing all elements of Hip Hop Culture.

Special Guests for April

Chester P

Founding member of Task Force, Bury Crew and the M.U.D. Family. Chester P has a noted style of ‘psychedelic’ poetry and his writing style has fathered many influences since 1993. A pioneering hip hop artist, he has helped to mould the UK scene into what it is today.

Amy True

Multi-talented MC and singer Amy True is a member of the People’s Army and one quarter of UK Hip Hop super group Caxton Press. Having released several solo projects Amy is currently working on her debut album. On her second performance in Belfast she will showcase her new material alongside DJ Snuff and the live band!

Bad Taste Cru

Bad Taste Cru are a pioneering UK Hip Hop Theatre company, battle cru, and collective of teachers, Djs, MCs, graff writers, skaters and other artists. Founded by Bboy P, in 1995, BTC became primarily a Bboy cru in 1998. Originally based in Omagh, Northern Ireland, the cru have since relocated to Newcastle Upon Tyne, North East England, in search of opportunities to be involved in the UK dance scene. BTC have grown over the years to become one of the UKs top Bboy cru’s, most cutting edge Hip Hop theatre companies, and run some of the most attended and respected Bboy events on the UK scene

Dan Magill

Completing the bill is Belfast rapper Dan Magill, promoting his solo material on the back of the release of his slick new video for single “Caught Up,” produced by Sub-Culture Productions
